It may feel as if Halloween 2020 is cancelled…😥
Even though Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party (MNSSHP) at the Magic Kingdom has been cancelled doesn’t mean there won’t be special fun for Halloween this year.
Halloween at Walt Disney World is a BIG Deal.
The resorts and parks, especially the Magic Kingdom, are all decorated for the biggest holiday of the fall. Halloween also happens to be Michele’s birthday, so, it’s a BIG deal for Makin’ Memories Travel too. This year, there was an unspoken fear the holiday would be skipped over, since the tradition of Trick or Treat down Main Street at MNSSHP was cancelled; but, all the magic of Disney World during Halloween will still happen–in newer and dare we say, even funner ways.
This year, for the first time EVER, Guests of all ages will be able to wear their funniest, Disney-ist, most creative costumes during Magic Kingdom regular operating hours from Sept. 15 to Oct. 31.
Be sure to check the costume restrictions that are in place for all of us over the age of 14 and mask coverings for safety will still be enforced. For a twist you can get a face covering to match the new Minnie Witch Halloween ears which you can buy online or at World of Disney without going into the parks.
We’re all so happy to learn we will still be able to see our lovable friends dressed up in their Halloween costumes making those once-a-year photo ops available, from a safe and selfie distance.
Who can resist a photo of Minnie in her Witch Costume and Donald dressed up as a Pumpkin? Check out Michele’s photos favorite pictures from MNSSHP 2019.
But, if a selfie isn’t your thing relax, Disney’s Magical Photopass! Photographers will will be available throughout the park for themed photo opps. But beware – happy haunts may materialize in the pictures!
Although, right now the character couture is not happening, we can hope that by the end of October maybe you can make an appointment so your selfie photos will be even more special for you.
As always, MMT is in it for the food and beverages. Halloween is no exception. We’re thrilled to learn that the Halloween themed Mickey-Shaped Snacks will be available!
